Let’s make something.

Armory Management Company is proud to introduce its latest historic mill rehab project, the Harrison Steam work spaces, at 50 Agnes Street in Olneyville’s creative district. Ideal for artisans and fabricators, designers and creators, entertainers and culture makers, Harrison Steam brings together over 25 unique commercial suites spanning nearly 50,000 square feet of historic brick and beam construction.

Harrison Steam was originally built in 1829 for textile manufacturing. Over the decades it’s been known by many names–Weybosset Mills, The Eagle Steam Mill, American Woolen Company, Providence Wool Combing, and the Victory Pearl building, when it made synthetic pearls for the RI jewelry industry.

That history is written in thick masonry walls, big timber construction, and solid hardwood floors made to support heavy industrial machinery and lots of people. A restored elevator, new roof, new heating systems, high-speed internet, and upgraded common areas are just some of the upgrades that are bringing Harrison Steam into the 21st century. Safety is enhanced by a modern fire alarm, sprinkler system, cameras, and electronic door locks.

Under Armory’s new stewardship, Harrison Steam is entering a new era.  The first occupants will include an art gallery/studio/retail space, an indoor minigolf course, a distillery and a speakeasy, a tattoo artist, a jewelry maker, painters, and a dance studio.  We look forward to creating a hub of creativity, expression, and fun, where people will connect, collaborate, and thrive with each other.
