Armory Management Company (AMC) manages residential and commercial property and condominium associations for the benefit of their occupants, owners, and the larger community. AMC’s mission as a company is to provide excellent results for property owners by providing outstanding services to residents and businesses. AMC specializes in the management of distinctive historic properties in Providence, Rhode Island.

 

AMC currently manages and provides leasing and marketing services for over 480 apartments and condominium units as well as 40 commercial storefronts and offices comprising over 350,000 square feet in 44 buildings for 16 owners. The firm also manages 75,000 sq. ft. of light industrial, incubator and flex space.

Armory Management Company is owned by Mark Van Noppen, Co-Founder and Managing Director of The Armory Revival Company, an award winning development firm founded in 1986. Susan Reis, Vice President of Property Management is an Accredited Residential Manager and a Registered Apartment Manager associated with IREM and accredited by the National Association of Home Builders; she brings over twenty five years of experience in managing and leasing real estate for her owners and residents.

AMC provides accounting and asset management services for the properties in its portfolio. Stacey Forlini, CPA, is Controller and Accounting Manager with over fifteen years of experience in real estate accounting. She oversees property accounting and reporting and short and long form budget and planning processes. Stacey is a member of the Rhode Island Society of CPA’s.

The company employs its own maintenance and service crew, providing 24-hour service under Bill DiBello, General Contractor of Property Operations. Bill has worked in the construction, hospitality, and managements industries for over thirty years. AMC keeps its apartments fully rented to a diverse mix of residents under the direction of Beth Jenkins, Property Manager and Mindy Caster, Residential and Commercial Leasing Manager. Seth Zeren, Development Director, oversees the Commercial Property Portfolio.

AMC has a stable number of sub-contractors with long-standing relations that allows the company to draw upon extensive building experience and mobilize a large workforce to plan and execute major improvements and tenant fit-out projects. AMC’s affiliation with Armory Properties, the real estate brokerage founded in 1988, informs our property disposition services, helping owners realize maximize value for their investment.

 

 Principal

 Mark Van Noppen

Mark Van Noppen began a career in real estate development in 1982, renovating significant Victorian homes in Providence, Rhode Island. He co-founded The Armory Revival Company in 1986. In his role as Vice President and Managing Director, Mr. Van Noppen is responsible for strategic planning, project conception and management, property management, community relations, and business and investor development. Mr. Van Noppen has had leadership roles on the boards of numerous civic and charitable organizations including: West Broadway Neighborhood Association, Housing Works RI, the Rhode Island Builder’s Association and the Providence Preservation Society, where he served as President from 2006-2008. He has served on a number of commissions and committees, including the Governor’s Joint Committee on the Rehabilitation Building Code, the Governor’s Housing Resource Commission, Mayor David M. Cicilline’s Advisory Committee and Brown University’s Civic Leadership Council.

A native of North Carolina, Mr. Van Noppen graduated from Brown University in 1981 with a degree in Anthropology. He also studied photography at Rhode Island School of Design. He resides in the Armory District with his wife Julie and their three children.
